This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website and all the GLI iOS and Google Play stores. It will notify you of the following:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website or app, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Mobile App (GLI Open Sign) — Additional Details
Section added 21 May 2026 to cover the new native GLI Open Sign iOS and Android applications.
This section supplements the policy above for users of the GLI Open Sign mobile app. The general principles above (we do not sell your data, we use information only to deliver the service, you can request deletion at any time) apply unchanged. The bullets below cover specifics required by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
What the app collects
- Account information. The email address you sign in with, plus your WordPress display name and user ID from greenlight-innovations.com.
- Authentication tokens. Short-lived access tokens and a 30-day refresh token, stored encrypted on your device (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). The refresh token rotates each time the app refreshes your session.
- Paired devices. For each LED sign you pair: the model (e.g. GLI1050), a hardware identifier derived from the sign’s Bluetooth address, the nickname you give it, and the configuration you save (open/off schedule, business hours, colors, effects).
- Chat messages. If you use the in-app help chat, the text you type, the session identifier the app assigns to one conversation, and (optionally) the identifier of the paired device you are asking about so the AI can answer specifically about your hardware.
- Diagnostic. App bundle identifier, platform (iOS/Android), and app version on each request, used to gate forced upgrades and debug platform-specific issues.
The app does not collect precise location, microphone audio, camera images, contacts, calendar, health data, or advertising identifiers.
Bluetooth permissions
The app requests Bluetooth permission for two purposes: to scan for nearby GLI LED signs during pairing, and to connect to your paired signs to push saved configuration to the hardware. On Android we explicitly declare neverForLocation on the Bluetooth scan permission — Bluetooth scanning is never used to determine your location.
Third parties that receive your data
- Anthropic, PBC operates the AI model that answers your in-app chat messages. Chat text you send is transmitted to Anthropic’s API to generate a response. Anthropic’s policies are at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- Railway Corp. hosts our backend API. Authenticated API requests are processed on Railway infrastructure.
- Apple Inc. / Google LLC distribute the app and may collect crash reports and basic install telemetry per their store policies.
We do not transfer your information to any other third party.
Data retention specific to the app
- Refresh tokens expire after 30 days and rotate every time you open the app while signed in. Signing out deletes the token from your device and invalidates it on our server.
- Paired devices stay until you unpair them in-app or delete your account.
- Chat conversations are kept on your device for as long as the app is installed. Conversations sent to our server are logged for AI quality review and may be retained for up to 90 days.
Your choices inside the app
- Sign out from the home screen — deletes your tokens from the device.
- Unpair a sign from the device’s settings screen — removes the row from our backend.
- Wipe your chat from the chat screen (the “New” button) — clears local history and starts a fresh session.
- Delete your account by emailing support@greenlight-innovations.com — we will remove all paired devices, chat logs, and account data within 30 days.
The app is intended for business owners using GLI LED signage. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
