LED sign sizing guide.
The right sign size depends on where it's mounted and how far away the average customer reads it from. Here's how we recommend sizing.
Quick guide
| Storefront window | 15 × 32″ (GLI1050B) |
| Door-side / smaller window | 7 × 18″ (GLI1053) |
| Schedule-heavy use case | 15 × 16″ with hours (GLI1057B) |
| Indoor counter / point-of-sale | 7 × 18″ or 15 × 5″ (GLI1058) |
The “from the road” test
The single most important question: how far away is the sign being read from?
- 5 to 20 feet (counter or door): 7 × 18″ is plenty.
- 20 to 60 feet (across a storefront or small parking lot): 15 × 32″.
- Over 60 feet: the 15 × 32″ still reads, but for very long sight lines, custom outdoor signage is a better fit. Email sales@.
Window real-estate
Two practical constraints we hear most:
- Don't block the view in. Customers want to see if you're open in a glance — but the inside of your store is part of that signal. Pick a position that supports the storefront, doesn't crowd it.
- Stay 1″ off the window glass. Thermal expansion can crack glass with direct contact in extreme temperature swings.
Multi-location and franchise
If you're sizing for 5+ locations:
- Pick one SKU for consistency. Brand identity is easier when every storefront reads identical.
- The 15 × 32″ flagship is the most common choice for chains — visible at distance, fits most window dimensions.
- Volume tier pricing kicks in at 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 units. Auto-applied in cart.
